This little piece was written on a request by Pieter Stas from the Goeyvaerts ensemble. Since he is a very good singer, I wrote the piece such as to take full profit of the vocal possibilities of the players. Both players do sing, although mostly with the mouth shut, throughout the piece. Each of the nine bars stands for a full respiration cycle. This determines the playing tempo.
The duration should be minimum one minute, but may very well reach 4 minutes (maximum).
The score is only a single page long and can be requested in printed form for free by email from the Logos Foundation. A jpg of the manuscript is depicted below.
