Biography


Kris De Baerdemacker (1972) is a composer of instrumental music, electro-acoustic music and music for automats.
His work has been performed by the National Orchestra of Belgium,het Collectief, Q-O2, Nadar ensemble, Artis Dulcedo, <M&M> ensemble and has been played in Belgium and festivals in the Netherlands and France. In december 2006, he was selected for the Tactus Young Composers' Forum (www.tactus.be)
Kris De Baerdemacker studied composition with prof.dr. Godfried-Willem Raes at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent and attended masterclasses with Darren Copeland (1999) and Karlheinz Stockhausen (2004)


Biografie

Kris De Baerdemacker (1972) heeft muziek geschreven voor diverse instrumentale bezettingen van solo tot orkest. Hij maakt ook elektro-akoestische composities en stukken voor muziekautomaten.
Zijn werk werd uitgevoerd door o.a. het Nationaal Orkest van België,het Collectief, Q-O2, het Nadar ensemble, Artis Dulcedo, het <M&M> ensemble... en werd gespeeld in België en op festivals in Nederland en Frankrijk. In december 2006 was hij een van de laureaten van het Tactus Young Composers' Forum (www.tactus.be).
Kris De Baerdemacker studeerde compositie aan het Conservatorium in Gent bij prof.dr. Godfried-Willem Raes en volgde masterclasses bij Darren Copeland (1999) en Karlheinz Stockhausen (2004).
